A Note From Our Founder
Before I founded Hoare Associates in 2015, I spent many years working at a leading traditional music law firm. It was a team of brilliant individuals, but collaboration wasn’t always a priority.
Building our business from the ground up, we’ve adopted a fresh approach, utilising collaborative tools and processes such as Kanban, Lean, and Agile methodologies, which are commonplace in tech and other sectors.
Contracts underpin everything in the modern music business, but the processes for handling them often feel outdated, like a relic from the 20th century. At Hoare Associates, we aim to change that, one deal at a time.
A crucial aspect of making the contracting process run smoothly is a focus on better negotiation. During lockdown, I had the privilege of writing a book on negotiation for the inspiring DO Book Co. The central theme of that book? You guessed it: collaboration!
